Certified Leadership Series/Eagle E.D.G.E. Workshops (Tuesday & Wednesday) – Students attend a weekly workshop to learn about how to be a change agent in their community through the social change model and explore leadership in theory and in practice or to become a better employee and get an edge on future jobs. The series is offered twice per week and students can select either section. The series begins February 5 and 6, 2013. Registration is currently open, Sign up here. Leadership in Student Organizations (Thursday) – Student organizations attend workshops to improve their leadership skills and network with other student leaders. This series will recognize student organizations who are interested in creating a culture of leadership within their organization and the UNT community. The series begins following the Emerging Leaders Summit on February 1-2, 2013. Registration will open soon!
Greek Emerging Leaders Program (Wednesday) - This program is offered by the Center for Leadership and Service and the Office of Greek Life for students in UNT Greek Life who are interested in advancing their leadership skills to improve their organizations and the campus community. The program enables Greek students to discuss current topics in Greek Life while learning fundamental leadership theory. Workshops begin in September and registration is currently open. Emerging Leaders Summit – This program is for freshman and sophomore student leaders who are interested in building their leadership skills in an effort to create positive change in their community. This program is a collaborative effort between the Center for Leadership and Service and Orientation and Transition Programs.
All for NT/NT for All – This leadership conference is an opportunity for all students to participate in collaborative discussions with other student leaders. NT40 and the Center for Leadership and Service host this conference for student leaders who are interested in making positive change in their organizations and their community with support from Student Activities. LeaderShape Institute - This nationally renowned 6 day intensive leadership training is open to 65 UNT students who want to be trained and inspired to "live with integrity" and have a "healthy disregard for the impossible". Information sessions will occur on campus February 19 from 5-6 PM in Wooten Hall 212, February 20 from 11 AM to Noon in the Business Leadership Building (BLB) 065 and February 21 from 2-3 PM in BLB 065. Global Leadership Experience - (sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Division of Student Affairs) The Global Leadership Experience is a unique year-long experience for college of Arts & Sciences sophomores and juniors designed to give an understanding of effective leadership qualities. The first course (Leadership for a Global Society-UCRS 4980) will be offered Fall 2012 (Tuesday/Thursday 11-12:20) and the secong course (Leadership in Pratice UCRS 4980) will be offered in the Spring 2013 Tuesday/Thursday 11-12:20. Students will gain invaluable leadership experience, connect with community mentors and leave a legacy at UNT. For more information click here.
